Les Deux chenes- B&B and Gites
Located only 17 miles SW. of the historic chateau town of Saumur, in a tiny hamlet in the middle of the Anjou countryside and vineyards.
Les deux Chenes is situated on the Maine et Loire/Poitou Charents border, only 7 miles from the modern town of Doue la Fontaine; 8 miles from the picturesque and historical tiny chateau town of Montreuil-Bellay and 10 miles from the old market town of Thouars, all towns have weekly markets and large supermarkets.
This charming property offers B&B in two Farmhouse bedrooms and self-catering in a one bedroomed Cottage gite for 2 with use of optional 2nd (B&B en-suite) bedroom in the adjacent Farmhouse for a group of 3 or 4.
The Cottage has an open-plan kitchen/lounge. The kitchen area is fully equipped with dish-washer, washing machine, large fridge-freezer, microwave,double-sink, and good quality cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils.
The lounge has a sofa, armchairs and satellite uk tv.
The shower room with wash-basin and wc. are downstairs.
Upstairs the bedroom has a double and single bed (both available for those wanting separate beds) as well as air-conditioning.
From the bedroom double doors lead out onto a terrace for al-fresco dining and with uninterrupted views across the local countryside.
Viv and David the resident English owners, have time to give you help to you enjoy your holiday in this area as much as possible.
Within an hour of the property you can visit many of the most famous chateaux of the Loire Valley including Villandry with its famous gardens.
The highly recommended theme park 'Puy du Fou' is just under an hour away, as is 'Futuroscope'.
Locally there is a wonderfully landscaped conservation zoo breeding endangered species and Saumur has many place of interest to visit including the many sparkling wine houses being the second largest area of sparkling area after the Champagne region.
The beaches of the Vendee are about 2 hours away.
B&B is available in 2 bedrooms in the Farmhouse and the owners share their swimming pool and tennis court with all their guests at no extra charge and with no time restrictions.
