Gite with pool in Charente Maritime: Le Cerisier
Dating from 1713, the main house and the gite are set within a large walled south facing Garden.
Recently restored to a very high standard, combining French country charm with modern chic, Le Cerisier certainly doesn’t lack character with is exposed beams and original thick stone walls. The rooms are generously proportioned, airy and light.
Each rooms is individually styled and furnished in an antique French style including traditional painted furniture complimented by decorative items.
Fully equipped kitchen including; modern stainless steel appliances - dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge/freezer (where you will find a bottle of chilled champagne awaiting you), electric cooker with hob, microwave etc.
There is an open plan dining area with dresser, table and chairs for 6 overlooking the garden.
The sitting room is ideal to relax in after an exhausting day sightseeing ( or sunbathing), including a large 3-seater sofa and 2 armchairs, English Satellite TV, DVD and CD player. There is a plentiful supply of books, toys and games at your disposal.
First Floor:
Upstairs you have superb views of the pool and gardens and neighbouring fields of sunflowers, the master bedroom has a king size bed, a double in bedroom 2 and twin beds in the third one.
Also at your disposal is a full size cot, stair gates and plenty of child equipement.
There is a large modern family bathroom /WC upstairs and a shower room with WC downstairs.
The Gardens:
Mostly laid to lawn, the gardens offer a safe, enclosed area for playing with plenty of fruit trees affording shade from the sun.
There are swings, a rope ladder, paddling pool, trike, small trampoline a large sandpit and plenty of outdoor toys and games.
The beautiful and totally safe 11m x 5m heated swimming pool has a Roman end with steps making it ideal for all ages.
For winter or longer lets the gite is open all year round and is therefore heated throughout.
Special rates for longer lets, weekends, Christmas and New Year breaks.
