French Travel News 2012 | Menton in the French riviera: A fruity little number

There really is little excuse required for planning an off-season visit to the French Riviera. But if you are not yet convinced of the benefits of a little winter sunshine and brightness, perhaps the Menton Lemon Fair can tempt you.

This annual celebration of all things citrus takes place this year from 17th February to 7th March. Each year there is a different theme, this year marks 'The Regions of France', which sounds like a lovely inclusive thing to be a part of.

Among the events to look out for are the 'parade of golden fruits' with fruit-packed floats promenading through the town, an evening parade of lights and fireworks and an exhibition of giant motifs made with citrus fruits.

Here at YourFrenchHolidays we have a range of properties perfect for rental during this period.
