General French News | Kanye West amongst celebrities enjoying Paris fashion week

Thousands of fashion lovers have flocked to Paris for the city's annual men's fashion week.

The shows, which began on Wednesday, feature next year's summer collections for at least 50 French designers - including Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent and Jean Paul Gaultier.

The shows have prompted a number of A-list celebrities to enjoy French holidays in the capital; including Kanye West, who frequently travels to France to view fashion shows. West was spotted by paparazzi enjoying the Louis Vuitton show on Thursday alongside other big names from the music industry.

The rapper is currently living in one of the luxury villas France has to offer whilst he works on the latest designs for his own clothing line.

According to reports from MTV.com, he chose the city so he can learn from the wide range of world-renowned fashion designers in the city.

The Sun reports that Lily Allen was also spotted at the show with new husband Sam Cooper. The couple were one of many newly-weds to pick Paris as a honeymoon destination after they tied the knot earlier this week.

Usher, Michael Stipe and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas have all also been spotted enjoying the shows in the French capital this week.

Paris is commonly known as the fashion capital of the world by almost everyone in the fashion industry.
