British Airways have announced an extra flight to from Heathrow to Paris Orly, reports lechotouristique.com.
Planning French holidays to the capital city will be made a little easier with the new service, which is scheduled to depart from Heathrow at 4:20pm. This will be the third flight between the cities, swelling the current twice-daily service which itself only opened on 10 January this year.
The addition also emphasises the popularity of Paris for Brits and London for the French. Patrick Malval, Director of Sales for Western Europe at British Airways said of the new offering on businesstravel.fr:
'The flights we've offered since the beginning of the year between Paris Orly and London Heathrow have received strong interest from business and leisure passengers. This success led us to develop our offer from the Paris platform, offering in our summer schedule, a third frequency.''
'We will have three flights from Orly and we will continue to operate eight flights for Roissy-Charles de Gaulle.'
The new flight has been made possible, industry experts say, from the recent merger with Spanish airline, Iberia, enabling British Airways to benefit from freed up slots.
British Airways will also benefit from the fact that many low-cost airlines, including Ryanair, have no access to Orly airport, allowing them to monopolise holiday-makers to the region.
