French Travel News 2012 | New flights from Blackpool to Picardy
Residents in the north of England have a new incentive to explore some of France's hidden gems for their next break across the Channel as news reaches Your French Holidays of a new summer flight service from Blackpool to Picardy.
The flights will connect the resort to Albert Picardie Airport in northern France between April and August.
Airport director Paul Rankin said he was looking forward to 'a thrilling year' of events in the county, such as the Open Golf being held at Lytham. It is hoped the service will encourage more French visitors to the region.
The new service will be operated by Danish Air Transport (DAT) on an ATR 72-200 aircraft, which can carry up to 66 passengers.
As well as access to the beautiful bay of Somme, the new route provides a gateway to the capital and the delights of Disneyland Paris.
