Description

Autegeac Gite- Figeac

The Gite de Autejac is located the heart of the Natural Regional Park of the Causses of Quercy and sits mid-way between the river valleys of the Lot and Célé.

The gite has a large open plan living space with a log burning fire. The kitchen area is well equipped with large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and electric cooker and has a large dining area.

The comfortable lounge area includes a double sofa bed. There are 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is large and has a double bed and a double sofa bed. Bedroom 2 has two single beds.

The gite has a sunny terrace at entrance level and a large private garden with table/chairs and barbeque and above ground a private swimming pool.

The English owners live in the neighbouring property. There is a large (one acre) field for footie/badminton etc. and has been used by previous clients for camping.

The area is renowned for its beautiful night skies and with no light pollution is a real gem for star gazers.

The gite is located 3kms from the small village of Brengues which is on the banks of the River Cele where there is a small beach.

There are three bars (one with a restaurant) one of which has a pool for client's use. Bikes and canoes can be rented from the "Moulin Vieux" campsite.

There is a small village shop selling basics including freshly made bread. Fishing permits can be purchased for the River Cele and the neighbouring River Lot.

There are numerous signposted walks in the area including the Chemin de Saint Jacques Compostelle.

For the active there are numerous local activities including, canoeing, cycling, rock climbing, water parks, animal parks, horse riding and swimming to name but a few.

There are some wonderful pre-historic caves nearby including Padriac with its subterranean lake. The property contains an information booklet with full details of the area.
