This wonderful 18th Century chateau set in a small park with its own private summer pool is the nearest Bed and Breakfast to Verdun and the famous battlefields of The First World War, and one of the best B&Bs in the region.
The owner is able to provide a wealth of knowledge about the region and historical sites connected to the First War.
A warm welcome awaits within, where you can enjoy superb French food cooked every evening and served with selected wines, in the beautiful Louis XVI dining room.
You can also relax and enjoy the end of your evening in the Salon Louis XV where coffee and Brandy are served.
The Bedrooms:
There is a choice of five ensuite bedrooms, all comfortably furnished with antiques: The Blue Room, The Pink Room, The Park Room, The Romantic Room, and The Family Suite sleeps up to six, two adults and four children.
The Meuse department, is a beautiful and atmospheric place resonant with history and forests and lakes to explore.
There is horse riding available at the chateau, a summer swimming pool and other local facilities including tennis (2km), sailing (10km), fly fishing (6km), shops (2km) and the railway station is only 10km away.
Animals allowed by prior agreement.
There is closed and covered parking in the chateau grounds.
Reservations are available only with dinner.

Directions:
From Paris A4 through Reims towards Metz/Strasburg. Exit 30 Verdun Voie sacrée. Then direction Bar le Duc, to Lemmes. At end of the village, left to Senoncourt and Ancemont. Chateau de Labessiere is at the bottom of the village on right-hand side.
