La Chouette, a lovingly restored 18^th.century gite is situated in Coulangé, a peaceful hamlet of old stone farmhouses, barns and fruit trees, cornfields and woodland set in the gently rolling landscape of southern Touraine. Within easy driving distance of the major attractions of the region, it’s an ideal base for a holiday in the Loire Valley.

Tastefully decorated to a high standard throughout it has a fully equipped modern kitchen, shower room and heating but retains the charm of original oak beams, a Tuffaut stone fireplace (now with wood-burning stove) and exposed stone walls.

For the security of children the shower room has non-slip floor tiles and a thermostatically controlled shower while the the kitchen has an induction hot-plate with security lock. A cot, high chair and stair gate can be supplied on request.

It has a private garden area with oak dining table, chairs and barbeque.

The pool, with security cover conforming to European norms, has comfortable hardwood loungers while the adjoining garden area - which contains a shaded sand-pit for our youngest visitors - may be used for games of badminton or boules.

Our prices are inclusive of all linen, cleaning and heating – including oak logs in the cooler months ... And to leave you more time to enjoy your holiday all paper and food wrapping products, basic cleaning, washing machine and dishwasher products and everything for the barbeque (except food!) are supplied as standard.On arrival you will find your Welcome Pack and the means of making a much needed cup of tea or real coffee.
