Description
La Belle Maison, self-catering holiday cottage at La Fontaine Rouillee.
This charming 2 bedroom detached Breton cottage is ideal for couples or small families. Siuated in rural tranquility just 5 minutes drive from Plessala, a friendly market village near the River Lie, Loudeac Forest and the Landes du Menes moors in central Brittany.
A few shallow steps lead from the private south-west facing garden to the single storey accommodation.
To the right of the central hallway is a spacious dual aspect kitchen-dining room with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, coffee-maker and toaster, as well as ample cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware for year round self-catering. The good quality dining suite has far reaching views over the surrounding countryside.
Opposite is a separate sitting room with very comfortable 3 piece suite, TV receiving UK free-to-air channels, DVD/CD player and an efficient wood-burner.
One bedroom is a double, the other is a twin, both have wardrobes, drawers, bedside lamps, chairs, mirrors and working shutters. There is plenty of space to add a travel cot to either room.
Spacious shower room has a walk-in cubicle, large vanity unit, WC.
Modern electric heaters are fitted in every room, duvets are provided in weights appropriate to the season, a stocked bookcase, selection of traditional board games and large scale local maps are left for guests to use.
Below the cottage is a separately accessed laundry room and storage area for cycles, golf-clubs, walking boots etc.
The enclosed garden has plenty of space to relax, an outdoor dining area with built-in bbq and is not overlooked.
The cottage is easily accessible from Brittany's sea and air ports. Its central position makes it an ideal touring base. The peaceful location offers a relaxing escape from the pressures of everyday whilst being close several small towns with shops, bars and restaurants.
Payment by bank transfer or cheque in Sterling or euros.
Flexible change-over days.
Short breaks available September to June.
