This delightful English run hotel is set in 14 acres of private forest with large gardens. You can stroll through the delightful woodlands, fish at the lake or simply relax on the lawns or by the swimming pool.

Maison de la Foret is only a 7 minute drive from Bergerac and 20 mins from the Airport, nestling in the forest and wine growing countryside of the Dordogne Valley, and the eighteenth century Perigordian farmhouse is owned by an English couple who previously managed their own hotel in Dorset.

It's an ideal base for discovering the many treasures of the region. There are delightful places to visit including medieval walled towns, impressive chateaux, riverside villages, prehistoric caves and other unique places of interest, and for the actively inclined, horse riding, golf, canoeing, rambling and cycling are all available within easy distance.

There are also enchanting footpaths through our local forest for walking and cycling.

Bergerac has a wide selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and a good market on Wednesday & Saturday mornings.

Restaurants ranging from local family run ones to gastronomic, all at reasonable prices are everywhere throughout the Dordogne and foie gras and the wines of Bergerac, Monbazillac and Pechamont as well as Bordeaux will almost certainly be on the menu, or you can visit the vineyards close by to taste the many wines of the region.
