Learn to Fly:

We provide English language Flying Lessons at a JAR Approved Flight School in France to gain a British issued JAR PPL. All training is conducted in English so there is absolutely no need to speak any French.

Our local flying environment provides more-reliable weather together with the superior facilities of an international airport and lower flying fees so it truly is the perfect place to learn to fly.

We offer introductory, conversion and Private Pilot Licence (PPL) courses provided by Sue Virr who is a British Qualified Flying Instructor and Flight &Ground Examiner, fully approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (DGAC) to conduct English-language training in both the UK and France.

All the training is conducted in a relaxed atmosphere, confidence building is a major part of the training and the motto here is that 'FLYING SHOULD BE FUN'

Walking holidays in Dordogne

Walking holidays in the Dordogne at Lavaud

What better way to discover the peace and tranquility of the Dordogne than by foot. Lavaud offers relaxed and friendly walking holidays taking into account your own walking ability, with a variety of distances from 5 km, 10 km, up to 20 Km daily.

Tours can be guided or self guided with route maps, GPX files or with the use of a GPS.

The air conditioned minibus is ideal for driving you to the start of your walk and picking up weary hikers and taking you back to your accommodation when you reach journey's end. Lavaud is a beautiful Perigordian property set in 100 acres of Land where you will be able to relax by the pool, enjoy a game of Tennis or simply enjoy the stunning views.

Our cooking courses are perfect for both the experienced cook and the novice.

Small groups of around 8 people in each cookery course will ensure that there is plenty of individual attention.

We focus on teaching a variety of skills from handling meat and fish to baking and chopping techniques.

Pierre will share chef secrets with you and turn you into a confident cook. At the end of the holiday you will go home with lots of cookery skills to impress your friends and family with. We will provide you with the full list of recipes so you can try out the dishes in your own kitchen.
